Reminders

Reminders are personal. The staff member who creates a reminder is the only one who sees it — no manager view, no organization-wide list, no shared inbox. The reminders feature is built around the assumption that a staff member's task list is private, the same way a notebook on their desk would be.

A reminder lives in one of three visual states — clean, due soon, or past due. The transition is automatic: anything due within the next three days highlights as a warning, anything past its due date highlights as an error. No manual status to set, no checkbox to forget. Your list visually sorts itself by what actually needs attention.

The Reminders tab in the main navigation changes color based on what's in your list. Yellow when something's due in the next three days; red when something's past due. From any screen in the platform, a glance at the nav bar tells you whether your list needs attention — without opening it.

SecureCare's notification system surfaces the things that need your attention as they happen — new messages, new documents, volunteer applications, and reminders past due. When one of your reminders crosses its due date, the notification appears live, on whatever screen you're on. Reschedule the reminder into the future or delete it, and the notification clears across every browser tab you have open.

Filter to what's due Today, Tomorrow, this Week, this Month, or anything Past Due. Search by reminder title or by your own name. Date filters can narrow further by the due date or by when the reminder was created. The list paginates, sorts, and exports the same way every other list in SecureCare does.

Each reminder can carry a URL alongside its title and notes — a link back to the customer, the case, the program, or the document the reminder is about. One click from the list takes you to the record without re-navigating the platform.
